Meet the Artist

One of the wonderful features of the One of a Kind Show is that each artist represented will be in attendence at the show. Here are just a few of the artists you'll meet at the show.

All That Glitters

Jeanmarie Petro and Barbara Tinger were working as bartenders when the underside of a bottle cap led to inspiration and the idea behind Weener Ware was born. Their work is based on collage, a love of vintage and a weakness for anything shiny.

Sparkplug Man

Dick Cooley is known as “Sparkplug Man” in the art and fine craft world since almost every one of his one-of-a-kind metal sculptures contains one. His work is inspired by the materials he finds at recycling centers, salvage yards, thrift stores and garage sales.

Artist-Tree

Artist Lenore Lampi is continually fascinated with the sculptural aspect of birch trees. Her wonderfully whimsical “Tree Skin” series is wheel thrown, incised and altered by adding, subtracting and carving.

Building Bridges

When UK born photographer David Mayhew is not chasing severe weather around the Great Plains for his “Skyscapes” series, he takes to the streets of Chicago to capture unique city images. “Chicago Bridges” focuses on the fascinating juxtaposition of the city’s old bridges and the modern buildings surrounding them.
