Artist Talks
Experience artwork in the making! Meet One of a Kind artists and learn the stories behind their eclectic handmade work at these special 20-minute presentations.
Come see Potbelly’s One of a Kind Musicians!
Potbelly has selected its very best musicians from its neighborhood Potbelly shops and brought them all to the show. Each has a sound and style you won’t find anywhere else. And each has that special way of making you smile. It’s live, local music done the Potbelly way.
Thursday, December 1
5pm-6:45pm, 7:45pm-9pm Kaliq Woods
Kaliq Woods is a jazz clarinetist who has been playing for over 20 years. “I first wanted to play jazz when I heard a Charlie Parker recording my teacher played in my senior year.” He has since gone on to study jazz at Columbia College and has played at numerous jazz festivals and renowned venues such as the Chicago Symphony Center.
Friday, December 2
5pm-6:45pm Samuel Williams
Jazz violin hero Samuel “SavoirFaire” Williams has been performing international venues since age five. After 14 years of playing classical music, he was inspired to change his musical focus to jazz improvisation and has since redefined what it means to be a jazz violinist.
Saturday, December 3
1:45pm-4:30pm Claire Corriveau
Claire is a folk rock singer-songwriter influenced by Bonnie Raitt, Bright Eyes, Cat Stevens and Carly Simon. She has been playing music for over 15 years and is currently studying music at Columbia College.
4:30pm-7pm Lupe Martinez
Guadalupe Martinez is a self-taught guitarist and singer. She loves playing and listening to music from the 50’s through today.
Sunday, December 4
1:45pm-5pm Tracy Leonard
Tracy has been playing saxophone since he was 10 years old. He started playing at church and listening to records like Sly and the Family Stone, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and Grover Washington.
