A Show with Strength
It’s the impeccable quality, unique character and wide variety of work shown that makes One of a Kind a show like no other. It is the presence of each artist onsite that brings One of a Kind to an unparalleled level of quality and individuality. It is the incredibly high volume and quality of attendees and onsite purchasing that truly demonstrates the success of the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago®.
Premier Timing and Location
The show is scheduled during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year, in a weather-protected indoor environment – a venue located at the heart of the most economically viable and highly trafficked area of Chicago. The Chicago Merchandise Mart, the world’s leading design center, delivers an audience of designers, gallery owners and trade representatives, as well as affluent visitors and collectors from across the Chicagoland region. The sophisticated hard-wall booth configuration showcases work to its best advantage.
Extensive Advertising and Promotional Campaign
A targeted and sophisticated advertising, marketing and public relations program covers the Chicagoland area in all critical media: newspaper, magazine and radio advertising, television, direct mail, One of a Kind banners throughout the city and a corporate ticket program.
Influential Sponsors and Partners
Strong sponsorship and city partnerships maximize promotion of the show to potential visitors. Partners have included Nissan, NBC, the Chicago Tribune, ClearChannel Communications, Etsy, Votre Vu, ReadyMade Magazine, Gallery 37 and The Chicago Department of Tourism. Special events held on the show floor, benefiting such groups as Children's Memorial Hospital, The Chicago Art Foundation, Pediatric AIDS Chicago, The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust and Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization introduce the show to key buying and collecting audiences.
Artist Promotional Opportunities
Unique, pre-event and on-site visibility opportunities, including exposure in show promotional and advertising material are offered to promote the sale of your art and create interest and excitement among the show’s visitors. Additionally, we produce a special offer postcard promoting the show for each artist to personalize and send to their collectors encouraging them to visit the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago. We provide a promotional kit for each artist in order to maximize their participation through public relations, direct mail, on-site demonstrations and other promotional opportunities. We also offer complimentary entrance tickets for our artists’ use and an exclusive VIP program for our artists to target their most important clients.
Our One of a Kind Promise
Our visitors tell us they come to our show to discover unique and beautiful items they don’t find elsewhere. In order to maintain the high quality of the show for both visitors and artists, we promise all the show presents artists’ original work, not the work of mass production studios. Work must be presented in a finished manner and not be made with kits, purchased molds or purchased patterns. It must be merchandised in a creative and artistic booth environment.
Our Artists–Our Greatest Asset
What makes our show a success is our artists. The One of a Kind team is committed to partnering with you to help you maximize all opportunities to sell your work. Through our comprehensive marketing programs and highly attended special events, we bring you the right audience ready to buy. We also focus on supporting your needs as exhibitors. In addition to our personal attention to you throughout the show, we provide you a pre-show exhibitor seminar with building and booth tours, an artist appreciation breakfast during the show, and show floor amenities including an artist’s lounge. These features are all intended to ensure a productive and enjoyable selling experience for you.
